Our staff have extensive experience in the development and validation of new assays, employing accurate and precise methods within our GLP accredited laboratories.
Routine techniques currently conducted at Simbec include:
- Enzyme-immunoassay (EIA/ELISA).
- Radio-immunoassay (RIA).
We also specialise in the development of biomarker assays such as:
- Flow Cytometry e.g. lymphocyte subset phenotyping and cytokine analysis
- Multiplexing assays
- LC-MS-MS e.g. Pharmacodynamic biomarkers
In terms of material, Simbec has the ability to analyse a broad range of biological samples (plasma, serum, urine, faeces, nasal wash etc.) for a wide range of biomarkers. For example:
- Blood Coagulation - Anti Factor Xa, Thromboxane B2
- Kidney, Liver, Thyroid – alpha-GST, Cytochrome P450 (CYP) , TSH, T3, T4
- Inflammatory – Cytokines, CRP, Immunoglobulins, Allergen testing
